Plan Your Neighborhood: Dresden Park
The Planning and Development Department is creating a small area plan for the Shallowford Road/Dresden Drive/Plaster Road area of the City. The goal of the plan is to address the current and future needs of the community and we need YOUR help to do this! We believe YOU can play a key role in being a voice for change to represent the community!
What is a Small Area Plan?
A small area plan is a “mini-master plan” that takes recommendations based on input from the community to define and guide the future of the area.
Who should be involved?
If you live, work, or play in Chamblee and specifically the study area we want to hear from you!
Where is this coming from?
The City’s Comprehensive Plan identified this area, and six others, to create a great neighborhood. The six areas were determined to be sites in need of direction and were selected to undergo a Small Area Plan process. Check out the Comprehensive Plan here.

What has happened so far?
Internal Stakeholder Meeting- August 3, 2023
The Planning and Development Department hosted City Staff to identify and finalize the boundary for this project, learn about strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and start drafting recommendations. The group included the City Managers Office, Parks and Recreation, Economic Development, Public Works, Code Enforcement, and Police. Find the agenda, meeting minutes, and sign in sheet here.
Citizen Advisory Group Meeting #1- August 30, 2023
