Report a Violation

Any resident, business, property owner, City staff member, Mayor, or City Council member can file a complaint alleging a violation of the City codes. The names of persons making a complaint are maintained with confidentiality by the city and are not released except during litigation or through an open records request. The city will accept anonymous complaints.

How do I report a code enforcement violation?There are several ways to report a code violation, including the following:

  • Submit an online service request via GovPilot's desktop site or by downloading the GovAlert mobile app.
  • Email your concern to code_enforcement@chambleega.gov
  • Call Code Enforcement at 770-986-5009
Please note: Code Enforcement handles these issues between 8 a.m-5 p.m.; Monday-Friday. If you need assistance outside these hours or on the weekend, please call the Police Department non-emergency number at 770-986-5002. For emergencies, please call 911. 

Do I need to contact Code Enforcement or the Police Department?
Code Enforcement is responsible for the inspection and enforcement of residential and commercial properties that violate the city's codes of ordinance. Such enforcements include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • overgrown vegetation
  • debris or accumulation of junk
  • proper display of addresses
  • storage of inoperable vehicles
  • number and types of animals 
  • noise complaints
