Public Art Commission

About the Chamblee Public Art Commission 

As a part of the Chamblee Arts Master Plan, the City established a Public Art Commission to assist in managing public art and fostering creativity.

We are not accepting statements of interest to become a member of the Public Art Commission at this time.

The commission is responsible for:

  • Acting principally in an advisory capacity to Chamblee staff and the City Council in any matter pertaining to art.
  • Presenting an annual report of Public Art Commission activities.
  • Advising and making recommendations to City Council pertaining to the execution of the Arts Master Plan.
  • Advising and making recommendations to the City Council pertaining to, among other things, policies and procedures as identified in the Arts Master Plan; artist selection juries and process; commission and placement of artworks; and maintenance and removal of artwork.

The commission meets monthly, typically on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held at Chamblee City Hall located at 3518 Broad Street, Chamblee, GA 30341.
