About the At-Large Councilmember

Jimmy Furst At-Large |
The residents of Chamblee elected Jimmy to the At-Large City Council seat in November of 2021. He has been in office since January 2022 and will serve a 4-year term which expires in 2026.
Jimmy and his wife, Destinie, have been proud residents of Chamblee since 2014, and he has served on many of the community groups in the City. He served as Vice-President of the Dresden East Civic Association (DECA), the Secretary for Keep Chamblee Beautiful, and on the Recreation Advisory Committee for the City of Chamblee.
He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Communications. He also received his MBA from Johnson & Wales University with a concentration in Finance. Additionally, he is a graduate of Chamblee 101.
Jimmy has worked in the Food & Beverage industry for 20 years in various domestic and international leadership roles. He currently works in the B2B tech space as Senior Product Manager.
He is a lifelong athlete who has run multiple marathons and ultra-marathons. Additionally, he enjoys travel and has recently hiked Machu Picchu and summited Mount Kilimanjaro.
