1. Does the City pickup construction debris such as lumber, tiles, counter tops, and concrete?

Yes, but these are considered special pickups. The charges are as follows:

Minimum - $40

Tipping fees (per ton) - $38

Labor (per hour with a $55 minimum) - $55

2. I live outside of the Chamblee city limits. Can I bring recycling to your facility?

Yes. On the third Saturday of each month, the Chamblee Public Works Department hosts Recycle Day from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon. We accept aluminum and bi-metal cans, #1 and #2 plastics, cereal and food boxes, newspapers, magazines, phone books, cardboard, junk mail, office paper, milk jugs, and brown bags only. 

We are located at 3210 Cumberland Drive.

3. What are your hours of operation?

Regular Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

4. Do you have recycle carts?

Yes. To request a cart, please call Chamblee Public works or fill out the Recycle Request Form. If you have any questions, please call 770-986-5019.

5. Does the city perform repairs on sidewalks or streets?

Some repairs are made in-house utilizing our Public Works Department personnel, depending on the size and scope of work. 

Contractors are sometimes used by the department depending on availability of staff and scope of work.

6. Who handles water and sewer problems?

If you encounter water and sewer problems, please contact DeKalb County Water and Sewer Department at 770-621-7200.

7. Who do we call if there is a power outage or if street lights are out?

If you encounter power outages and/or street light issues, please call Georgia Power at 1-888-660-5890.

8. When are my trash pick-up days?
