  • City facilities will remain minimally staffed. Most city employees are working a hybrid schedule that includes telework.
  • City facilities:
    • City Hall (5468 Peachtree Road) – Open to receive applications and forms Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Meetings are by appointment only.
    • Police Department (3518 Broad Street) – Open to the public for services with social distance. Pre-scheduled meetings with staff would be appreciated.
    • Planning and Development (5576 Peachtree Road) – Open to receive applications and forms Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Meetings are by appointment only.
    • Public Works (3210 Cumberland Drive) – Open to the public on recycling dates only.
    • Civic Center (3450 Broad Street) – Open for court and council meetings with limited seating.  All visitors will be screened for virus symptoms.
  • All City facilities will be closed to the public on the following dates:
    • Closed November 25 – Reopening on December 7.  All staff will telework November 30 to December 4. On November 25, applicants may make in-person appointments for alcohol licenses and massage and spa permits at City Hall.
    • Closed December 24 – Reopening on January 11. All staff will telework December 28 to December 31 as well as January 4 to January 8. On December 30, applicants may make in-person appointments for alcohol licenses and massage and spa permits at City Hall.
  • Staff will be working, and telephonic and teleconference meetings are the primary way to meet with city staff. Appointments for face-to-face meetings will be granted only if necessary. Should an in-person meeting request be granted, customers and city employees will be required to wear masks. Masks will be provided if necessary. No employee is required to meet with someone if that person is unwilling to wear a mask and maintain social distance, is presenting symptoms of a virus or flu or becomes argumentative.
  • City sanitation will continue with a normal schedule, to include leaf and limb pickup.
  • Park open areas and trails will remain open for individuals practicing social distancing.
  • Park amenities will remain open - play at your own risk.
  • Leagues and programming on enclosed athletic fields and in the Community Center will continue with adherence to CDC guidance. Such guidance may change, but currently emphasizes smaller groups, each participant has own equipment (ball, glove, racquet, etc.) for use throughout, temperature screenings, etc.
