The City of Chamblee's newly forming Multimodal Transportation Advisory Committee is forming to serve as a sounding board for multiple upcoming Multimodal Transportation Planning processes. These plans will consider a range of potential transportation-related projects for pedestrians, bicycles, automobiles and transit including sidewalk, multiuse trail, greenway and roadway improvements. The planning processes will begin in late August and last through the spring of 2019. Members will be expected to attend approximately six MTAC meetings and all other meetings open to the general public (at least three public meetings/events). MTAC members will review and provide input on draft information prior to presentation to the public at the planned public meetings/events. No specific qualifications are required, only a general interest in transportation planning is desired. Those with a background in planning, engineering or related field are strongly encouraged to apply. MTAC members must be residents, business owners, property owners or work inside the Chamblee City Limits.
Interested individuals should submit an electronic version (linked below) of the Statement of Interest form, along with a resume to Matt Dickison, Development Director, email@example.com. Alternatively, hard copies may be dropped off at the Development Department, 3506 Broad Street, Chamblee, GA 30341. The deadline to submit is Friday, August 24th.
