Join your fellow Pickleball players for Pickleball Open Play (POP) at the Keswick Park courts every Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
Pickleball Open Play is a great way to meet other Pickleball players in the community, exchange information, and even form teams.
POP at Keswick is NOT a Chamblee-sponsored program, but rather a "reserved" time for the Pickleball community to play. However, Pickleball players are welcome to use the courts any other time throughout the week, as long as a Chamblee-sponsored program (like Up4Tennis) is not occurring. Tennis players MUST vacate the courts during Pickleball Open Play, so long as there are enough teams to use both courts. Otherwise, tennis players may stay on the one court.
POP players are required to bring all their own equipment, except for the netting, which is already on the courts. POP players must put down the nets to the appropriate height (36" high at the sidelines and 34" high in the middle) and then put them back up to the appropriate tennis net height (36" all the way across).
Also, be sure to bring water! There are water fountains located behind the community building, as well as up at the soccer fields (up Kim Lane). There is also one porta-potty available outside of the tennis courts, as well as at the soccer fields. POP players may NOT at any time go into the community building. The community building is not open to the public and the only time it is open is for a private rental or city-sponsored program, where non-registrants are not allowed in. If there is an emergency while playing, please call 911.

Be sure to check the Parks and Recreation website www.chambleerec.com for information about ongoing Pickleball Clinics. These clinics take place on different days and times, dependent on when Coach David Callihan is available. Coach David's clinics are always $20 for the 2-hour clinic, paid directly to him. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ups are welcome. All clinics take place at the Keswick Park Courts.
