Sanitation

Chamblee Sanitation Logo Final
The Public Works Department provides residential sanitation services 4 days a week, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Each household is assigned a collection day in which garbage, recycling and yard waste are collected. Leaf debris is collected the following day.

You can find your collection day here!

Garbage and recycling must be placed in an official City of Chamblee roll cart for pickup. Households are provided with one complimentary 65-gallon or 95-gallon trash cart and one 65-gallon recycling cart. 35-gallon garbage and recycling carts are reserved for residents who meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements or are physically unable to use a larger cart.

Additional Carts & Repairs

Residents are permitted a maximum of 3 carts. To set up a new city sanitation account, request a different size cart or request additional carts, please fill out the Garbage and Recycle Cart Request Form or call 770-986-5019 to make your request. Please do not make multiple requests.

Repairs

Garbage and recycling carts with minor wear and tear cannot be replaced, however
Public Works will provide replacement cart lids and/or wheels at no cost to the owner. Please call 770-986-5019 to request repairs.

Curbside Exemptions

The City offers curbside exemption for residents with temporary or permanent disabilities that prevent them from placing refuse at curbside for collection services. Please contact the Public Works Department to provide the necessary documentation for curbside exemption services.
