Summer Camp
Camp Chamblee LogoChamblee Parks and Recreation offers summer camp for children ages 6 to 12. Campers participate in arts, crafts, games, programs, swimming and field trips. Camp hours are 7:30 am to 6:00 pm each camp day with scheduled camp activities from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Space for each camp week is limited and reservations must be made in advance.

Camp takes place at the Keswick Park Community Building at 3496 Keswick Drive. The camp building phone number is 770.986.5030.

Camp Employment

This camp employees seasonal camp counselors. There are full-time and part-time positions. Camp counselor age requirements are:
  • Camp Chamblee ActivitiesJunior Camp Counselor - 15 to 16
    (This is an unpaid position available for those looking to volunteer and earn service hours.)
  • Part-Time Counselor - 17 
  • Full-Time Counselor - 18 & up

(Age exceptions may be made for those with Junior Camp Counselor experience).

Forefront Arts Drama Camp

Calling all kids who like to sing, dance, and act!  The "Seussical the Musical" camp will feature acting, improv, creative play, singing, dancing, designing, and more. Forefront Arts camp instructors are professional actors and the week will culminate in a public performance of a full-scale show!


"Seussical the Musical" is one of the most popular shows produced in the U.S. in the last decade and features characters and storylines from many different Dr. Seuss books!  Great music, fun dances, and tons of flashy costumes and props makes "Seussical" a hit with performers and audience alike.  Roles include Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, the Whos in Whoville, the Grinch, and the Sour Kangaroo.  Join Forefront Arts this summer for an amazing week of drama camp featuring performance technique, confidence boosting, and lots of fun!  All levels of experience are welcome.


Camp Details:

July 5-8, 2016 (4 day camp)

9 am - 3 pm (extended day 8 am - 5:30 pm available)

Cost is $215

1st - 8th grade campers (split into age groups)

All campers will perform in the "Seussical" performance on Friday, July 8 at 3 pm.

Presented by Challenger Sports, children ages 4-14 have the opportunity to learn from professional British soccer coaches. Camp will run June 27- July 1 at Keswick Park. Camper options are as follows:

9:00am – 10:30am Mini Soccer ages 4-5yrs $110

10:45am – 12:15pm Mini Soccer ages 4-5yrs $110       

9:00am – 12:00pm
Half Day ages 6-14yrs $150

9:00am – 4:00pm  Full Day ages 8-14yrs $205

Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability.  If you would like to be a host family and provide lodging to one of the coaches, your child will receive an $80 rebate on registration!  Please contact Neil Lynch at 770-434-5226 or for more details.  Register by May 13 to receive a free jersey.  All campers will receive a ball and t-shirt.
