Spring Break Camp
Camp Chamblee LogoChamblee Parks and Recreation offers a one week spring camp during the DeKalb County spring break for children ages 6 to 12. Campers participate in arts, crafts, games and special programs. Camp hours are 7:30 am to 6:00 pm each camp day with scheduled camp activities from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Space  is limited and reservations must be made in advance.

Camp takes place at the Keswick Park Community Building at 3496 Keswick Drive. Camp building phone number is 770.986.5030.

  • 2016 Dates: April 4-8
  • Cost: $75 for residents; $100 for non-residents

Camp Employment
This camp employees seasonal camp counselors. There are full-time and part-time positions. Camp counselor age requirements are:
  • Camp Chamblee ActivitiesJunior Camp Counselor - 15 to 16
    (This is an unpaid position available for those looking to volunteer and earn service hours.)
  • Part-Time Counselor - 17 
  • Full-Time Counselor - 18 & up

(Age exceptions may be made for those with Junior Camp Counselor experience).

For children ages 6-15. 

Camp Hours: 9:00 a.m- 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $150 for all participants
Soccer camp is held at Oglethorpe University

Oglethorpe University’s Men’s Coaching staff and Oglethorpe University college players will provide a half day camp .

Coach Akin is also a US National team Scout for the US Soccer Federation.

The first hour will be dedicated to foot skills and the basic techniques needed to be proficient in the sport of soccer: dribbling, passing, shooting. The second hour will dedicated to 2 v 2 , 3 v 3, and 4 v 4 games to try and apply skill sets worked on during the 1st hour. The final hour of camp will be games, where players can express themselves, and enjoy the freedoms of full matches, with coaching support. This camp is a great option for younger beginning players or for older players looking for extra technical training with great instruction and finding a joy for the game.
