Camp Chamblee

Our annual summer camp is back with more fun than ever for kids ages 6-12!  During our 10 weeks of camp, kids get the opportunity to learn a variety of different sports, games, crafts, and learn to branch out with improv acting lessons, dance, and some singing thrown in the mix!  Our campers are never bored with all the activities we provide.  You can sign your child up for any weeks that best fit your schedule.  Our fees are only $90 per week ($60 for our City residents).  Camp is run from 8:30am-3:30pm.  Drop off times are 7:30-8:30 and pick up is 3:30-6:00pm.  Registration will begin March 8 for City residents and March 15 for all campers.  Registration will remain open until all spots are full.  We accept 60 campers each week.  Two weeks of camp must be paid at the time of registration to reserve your spots.  You can sign up in person at the Chamblee Civic Center located at 3540 Broad St. or online. (Online payments must be made in full.  You can e-mail Jennifer Rackley to reserve any weeks you are unable to pay for in advance)  For more details on Camp Chamblee please read through our Parent Information Packet.
Here are our themes for 2010:

Spring Break Camp:April 5-9
   Campers create a butterfly garden and take a field trip to Malibu Grand Prix

Week 1:May 24-28  It's Not Easy Being Green
   Campers learn about recycling and create crafts from reused materials

Week 2:June 1-4  Monkeying Around (camp will be closed on Memorial Day)   
   Field trip to Zamba Fun Land

Week 3:June 7-11  Around the World in 80 Grooves
   Campers see performances of international dance styles

Week 4:June 14-18  Farmville Comes to Life     
   Field trip to a local farm

Week 5:June 21-25  Acting!  Genius!
   Campers get fun lessons on improv acting

Week 6:June 28-July2  Cooking up a Storm   
   Field trip to Young Chefs

There is no camp held the week of July 5-9

Week 7:July 12-16  Medieval Times   
   Campers learn about castle building, jousting, and other aspects of this fascinating era

Week 8:July 19-23 Play Ball!
   Field trip to a Brave's Game

Week 9:July 26-30  Three Strikes & You're a Turkey!   
   Field trip to Atlanta 300 Bowling

Week 10:August 2-6  Splash! 
   Field trip to Sun Valley Beach
