Chamblee's Parks and Recreation Department runs a variety of programs and special events geared to every member of the family.
Current Events & Activities:
**Independence Day Celebration
This year our Independence Day Celebration, Chamblee Rocks!, will be held on Saturday, July 3rd. Activities will begin at 5:00pm with a Children's Parade starting at Chamblee Middle School and finishing at the Keswick Park soccer field. There, kids can delight in games, prizes, inflatables, face painting and more! At 6:00 enjoy a live karate demonstration by Lews Global Karate and at 7:00 Mike Veal Band takes the stage - back by popular demand from last year's event! Come hungry and get some great picnic food from our vendors! As soon as it's dark, Tillman Hannon and his crew will set off the best fireworks display around! Don't miss our biggest event of the year!
**Camp Chamblee
Give your children a summer break they'll never forget - for less only $60 a week if you are a City of Chamblee resident and only $90 a week for our non-residents!!! At Camp Chamblee kids can enjoy a variety of fun activities from sports to art to field trips and don't forget swimming on Fridays! **Sports Camps
M&M Soccer camp is back this year for children ages 4-12! This half day camp is $80 a week and is taught by Coaches Mike Mey Keith Henck of Dunwoody High School. Click on the dates for registration info for their two weeks - June 14 or July 26
NEW this year we are proud to offer a half day cheerleading camp for kids ages 4-12! Keswick Park Cheerleading Camps are taught by Sarah Wharton & her staff of college cheerleaders, professional cheerleaders, and high school varsity cheerleaders. Each week is $200 for 9am to 12pm - Cheerleaders learn motions and dance technique in an exciting and upbeat style to loud and enthusiastic instructors and age appropriate music. We teach a creative, unique and innovative camp dance, cheers, and cheerleading stunts to be performed on Friday during our famous "Parent Performance". Attire: Tank Top or T-Shirt & Soffe Shorts with Tennis Shoes & a Pony Tail. Please Provide a Water Bottle & Snack Each Day! Cheer camp is also offered the weeks of June 14 and July 26 and will be held on the soccer field.

Youth Activities
The City offers the following sports programs for children.
- Fall and Spring Soccer for boys & girls ages 4 - 14
- Spring Tee-ball/Baseball for boys & girls ages 3 - 8
Age eligibility date for the spring season is February 1st and for the fall season it is August 1st. (Ex. If your child turns 4 on Feb. 2, they cannot participate in soccer until the following season) Registration for the spring season takes place in January for soccer and February for baseball. Registration for the fall season takes place in July for soccer and August for baseball.
Throughout the year, the City hosts several events for our youngest residents:
- Daddy Daughter Dance - A Saturday before Valentine's Day
- Touch-A-Truck - TBA
- Breakfast With Santa - A Saturday in December
Each year the City hosts a Day Camp for children ages 6-12. The Camp runs for ten weeks throughout the summer with an affordable weekly per child registration fee. Camp Chamblee also offers a Spring Break Camp as well as Winter Camp dates.
Adults
Currently the City has both Co-ed and Men's Softball leagues. Softball is offered in the spring and fall.
Events for the Entire Family
- Annual Chamblee Road Race - A 5K race for runners and walkers held in May.
- Independence Day Celebration - Featuring activities for kids and adults, food vendors, live music, and an elaborate fireworks show in Keswick Park
