It’s a new year, and you may want to do something new just for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with that! Continue your education and contribute to the City at the same time: Join the Chamblee 101 class. If you’ve wanted to learn more about local government and how it operates, this class is for you. The nine-week program begins in February and is designed to educate residents and business owners on how the city’s government works, who’s responsible for what and what steps you can take to make a difference. It includes discussions and interactive activities on topics such as Chamblee’s history, form of government and city services.
Classes are set for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning February 21 and running through April 10, however, the first class is February 12. The graduation ceremony will take place at the City Council meeting on April 17th.
