The City of Chamblee is well-positioned for quality growth with several new commercial and residential developments approved or under construction across the city. The historic downtown and mid-city districts are home to attractive redevelopment opportunities.
In partnership with the Atlanta Regional Commission and the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University, the city conducted a vacant property inventory that would allow city officials, developers, and the public to easily access information about commercial and industrial parcels in Chamblee. The inventory includes a map that can be used to explore most of the commercial areas within the city. The vacant property inventory shows commercial parcels that are developed or undeveloped, displays the the status of buildings on each parcel, and includes a photo of each building.

CHAMBLEE DOWNTOWN RENAISSANCE PLAN
Chamblee was selected as a participant in the 2015 Downtown Renaissance Fellows Program. The program pairs a city with a landscape architecture student to prepare design concepts for streetscape, gateway, public art, and other projects. Juan da Silva, a University of Georgia student, worked with city staff and the Downtown Development Authority to create these ideas to enhance Chamblee's historic core. The City and the DDA will work to make these ideas a reality in the coming years. To view the plan in your browser click HERE. To download a PDF of the plan, click HERE.
